Whilst the boy dressed in black sped around the bowl and ground the rails, something like a shadow lurked on the roof of an adjacent building, all the while watching. The Shadow's appearance? Black AT's faceted like a stealth jet, Black baggy pants ripped on the bottom from riding ATs, a body-length black trenchcoat, black undershirt and a black mask [see Nue's mask], and a white scarf around his neck. The scarf seemed out of place in all the black but the Shadow didn't care.

With a flicker, the Shadow vanished from the rooftop and appeared behind the boy, matching his speed. Going towards the edge, it suddenly accelerated so that they hit the edge at the same time. Using his own inertia, the Shadow propelled himself twenty feet higher into the air than the boy.

As he came down he landed on the concrete outside the bowl without sending up a single chip of concrete. Rather all the dust within a foot of him suddenly moved away from him, as if forced by the wind. Because they were. Looking at the boy, the Shadow's voice came from the vents in the helmet. "You're new around here. You belong to a Team Stormrider?"

Alright, before this topic progresses at all, I'm going to teach you how to RP. I should probably make a topic that's mandatory reading.

Anyway, Rule Number one of RP'ing: You're in third person Semi-omniscient POV. In other words you write all your character's thoughts but not the person you're RP'ing with. This requires that thought be distinguishable from speech. For example, you can put quotes around speech and italicize thought with [ i] and [/ i] minus the space.

Two: DETAILS! Your Three line posts will not cut it. There are three parts you have to consider in any post. Reaction, interlude, and counter. What this means is that you have your character's reaction to the other character's, describing facial expression thoughts and answering questions. Interlude includes anything your character does between the two sections. Then counter is like asking questions and what you do to attack the opponent back if you're in battle.

Three: Grammar. Your line of speech should look like this: " No, I'm not on a team. I'm still learning about ATs, and so far I can only get a little more air on them than on Rollerblades. What about you? You seem experienced, do you mind if you show me a few tricks?"

Take pride in everything you write, after all you're writing a story.

Lengthen your post up a bit taking all this into account and then I'll respond. Remember, that the more you describe the more that the other person has to work with. This is all constructive criticism, I'm not looking to "Put you Down" rather I'm trying to make your creative writing skills better.

Karasu looked at the boy through polarized plexiglass, he assumed quite a bit. Expecting that Karasu was skilled and that he would show the impudent boy some tricks. But as the boy didn't appear to be a threat, he might as well try to educate him. "Tricks? Before you learn tricks you should learn proper etiquette and form first. I apologize for not introducing myself, but for now I'm simply Night Rider. And like I was saying, without form, tricks are meaningless unless you want to eat pavement for the rest of your life."

He slowly rolled towards the boy, coming to a stop at the rim of the bowl. Crouching down he looked into the bowl at the boy. "I appreciate your enthusiasm in using ATs, but you're putting more energy into your activities than you're getting back. Stop kicking the ground so hard and keep your feet together if you're looking for speed. In any event, try and streamline yourself by keeping your arms close to your body and lean forwards as much as you feel comfortable doing. Eventually, you'll be able to do something like this."

With all the power of two enormous elastic bands, Karasu launched himself up and back, completing two full backflips before landing facing a long flat stretch of concrete. Leaning down he brought his body almost all the way to the ground, his palms keeping him from falling over. Gathering all his energy in his legs he launched forwards, vanishing from view for a second before re-appearing at the other end of the park. His wheels were still steaming from the rapid speed changes, but were soon cooled by a blast of cold air.

Karasu looked at the young boy he had just demonstrated to as he showed all the proper reactions including some insipid comments about skate-boards and skiing and the like in comparison to ATs. "No, ATs are better than all of them combined, since you can't accelerate going uphill and what-not unless you're riding ATs. The Motors see to that." Then the boy's attention was no longer on Karasu, but rather on someone else.

Karasu turned and looked at the newcomer as the boy pointed him out. Karasu could see the fear and recognition in the boy's eyes, he could tell even if the other couldn't what he was. And the second hadn't even seen what the first had. Which meant that the second could feel his Shadow and recognized him as a King.

Pointing to each one in turn, Karasu spoke through the ventilation in his helmet-mask. "What are your names? And you," He said pointing at the newest addition to the party, "You've met my kind before. Who? Aihara?"

"No he wouldn't. You're not supposed to talk about The Forest unless you wanna die. So I'd suggest you stop talking, because I'll shut you up now. Friendly advice." He said threateningly, this was the point at which they either shut up or he sucked the air out of their lungs at twenty yards.

He walked towards Taizen as he began smiling, stopping halway between the two so they could both hear him, "I understand you're here under friendly circumstances Taizen, but even though you may think that Sleeping Forest is a myth or a legend. It's damn real, and it's the most powerful force on the planet shy of Mother Nature herself. And I'll answer your question Tenma. Yes, we are a team but we all have our own teams because normally there isn't anything to do, and it's good cover. Now, that's the end of that conversation. Got it?" He made a sphere of whirling cyclonic air in his palm as he was talking. When he stopped talking he closed his palm and the sphere exploded through the spaces between his fingers.

Karasu swept his hand through his hair, combing it back as he looked up at the moon. "I used to do nothing but fight, but I fought for all the right reasons. I wasn't greedy or hateful, I rode to protect the people of the city, I didn't care what the Police thought or for that matter what the people thought."

He lowered his hands and looked at the two of them as they formed claws towards him. "So much blood, I dirtied my hands for the good of the few I saved. Sometimes I would even take down larger crime rings and syndicates. But now, it's nothing but a duty I feel I must complete as the Leader of Dead Air. My Team's territory is pretty big, and I ride every night to protect its inhabitants. But when I'm not protecting people, I'm just riding. I ride to get better, yes. But every time I ride, I grow wings and fly."

He hadn't realized it, but as he was talking the wind had built up under him and bourne him aloft about six inches off the ground. Looking down he smiled a little and dispelled the wind. "Simply put, I ride to protect those that can't protect themselves otherwise, so that both I and they can be free."
