| History Lesson One: The Great War
This thread will detail the history of the Sumeru Region's AT world. It is not for spam, flaming or posting of any kind.
One of the most violent clashes since the 1940s happened in the clouds, high above the Sumeru Mountains, almost fifteen years ago. The Great War, as it became known, was fought between two sides. On one side stood the then-great Sleeping Forest, an AT-Team of Kings and their own respective teams; on the other side stood Kirrah, a Team built upon the foundations of Sleeping Forest's enemies.
Kirrah had sworn from their first day of conception that they would best Sleeping Forest in a Great War, fought in the sky above the World Mountains of yore. They gathered the Kings that had fallen to Sleeping Forest, moulding them into the image of hatred and vengeance. They bought their way into companies that specialised in AT wear, forging ahead into uncharted territory; Regalias for the masses.
Having mass-produced most of the Regalias that existed, Kirrah then made their way into the mountains, setting up a base of operations known only as Bela. From there they terrorised the streets of Sansai and Seijitsu, forcing the diminishing numbers of Sleeping Forest into an all-out War. Many small battles were fought, Parts War-regulated battles that did little to harm the Team of Kings. They were battle-hardened, it would seem.
Kirrah knew that they were also battle-weary. Once the Trophaeum opened, Kirrah tore their way through the competition until one final battle remained; the battle in the Trophaeum itself. Having ex-Thorn Queens on their side, Kirrah easily stormed through the battle until the newest member of Sleeping Forest, a young girl with profoundly amazing abilities, accidentally destroyed the Trophaeum, sending Riders flying across the landscape toward the Mountains. All the Parts War adjudicators could do was watch on in horror.
Once the Teams had regrouped, the two sides clashed once again. Only one survived. | |
